Class with Lee Mason
This class offers an opportunity to experiment with a variety of stitches.

It is one of the series of 6 Essential Embroidery skills classes, which comprise the Guildโs foundation Certificate in Embroidery. Upon completion of a class, participants may have their project assessed. To obtain the Essential Embroidery Skills certificate, all six classes must be attended and a successful assessment gained. Alternatively, any of the classes can be done individually without assessment.
The kit will include all fabric and threads necessary for completion of the project.
Please bring the following items to the class:
- A variety of embroidery needles, especially size 7 and 9, but other sizes may be useful.
- Darning needle.
- Small, sharp scissors with a fine point.
- Small hoop, not more than 6″ (most of the stitching will be done without a hoop).

There are 4 steps at the entrance to the building and the ground floor area, as a result, wheelchair access is difficult and not recommended. Classes are usually held in the upstairs room which can only be accessed via the stairs.
Getting Here
- Free parking is available on Saturday and Sunday in Warry, Kennigo and Love Streets (behind the Guild).
- Fortitude Valley train station is a 5-minute walk away (exit via Brunswick Street).
- Numerous bus routes service Fortitude Valley. The closest stop, adjacent to the Guild building, is Brunswick Street at St Pauls Terrace, stop 5.

The Guild accepts no responsibility for difficulties with, or damage to your equipment.
Cancellation Policy
If a class is cancelled by the Guild all fees paid will be refunded. No refunds will be given for cancellations within two weeks of the class date. If more than two weeksโ notice is given, a refund will be offered, less $20 administration fee. Payment for kits will not be refunded but, if already purchased, the kit can be collected from the Guild rooms.
