Class with Deborah Love
This embroidery, inspired by the Mexican panel of the Red Dress, is stitched with brightly coloured threads on a red silk background in flowers, swirls and dots. As an alternative to the glasses case, the piece could be made into various other items.
The project is suitable for all skill levels.
Please bring the following items to the class:
- Lining fabric, if required for your finished article
- Bohin chalk pencil – white
- 15 cm (6 inch) hoop, which has been bound
- Sewing kit (including scissors and pins)
All other requirements will be included in the kit.
The Red Dress will be on display at The Museum of Brisbane from 29 July to 13 September 2026
