Class with Sally Randle
TWO DAY CLASS SUNDAY 17 AND SUNDAY 24 MAY.
This embroidered spray is based on and incorporates design elements found in an Antique silk embroidered panel that is part of EGQ heritage collection. During this 2-day class students will work with genuine Silk threads and a variety of Gold metallic threads to bring this design to life. Traditional Goldwork techniques of couching, plunging, and basketweave will be explored.

Skill level – intermediate
Your kit will include the design printed on Background Fabric, all Silk Threads, all Gold Threads, relevant Needles.
Please bring the following items to the class:
- Embroidery scissors
- Scissors for cutting metal threads
- Tweezers and a Mellor will also be useful
- The design will be worked in an 8โ hoop and a stand or seat frame will be useful. Your tutor can bring along suitable hands free hoops, that you can use in class.

There are 4 steps at the entrance to the building and the ground floor area, as a result, wheelchair access is difficult and not recommended. Classes are usually held in the upstairs room which can only be accessed via the stairs.
Getting Here
- Free parking is available on Saturday and Sunday in Warry, Kennigo and Love Streets (behind the Guild).
- Fortitude Valley train station is a 5-minute walk away (exit via Brunswick Street).
- Numerous bus routes service Fortitude Valley. The closest stop, adjacent to the Guild building, is Brunswick Street at St Pauls Terrace, stop 5.

The Guild accepts no responsibility for difficulties with, or damage to your equipment.
Cancellation Policy
If a class is cancelled by the Guild all fees paid will be refunded. No refunds will be given for cancellations within two weeks of the class date. If more than two weeksโ notice is given, a refund will be offered, less $20 administration fee. Payment for kits will not be refunded but, if already purchased, the kit can be collected from the Guild rooms.
