Class with Diane Edwards
Using your own landscape or seaside scape you will be guided in simple steps on the creation of your individual piece.
Each student will then add selected stitches and other media (ie: Mulberry bark, tulle, buttons, twigs, etc) to produce an individual piece of scenery.ย We will explore the use of watercolour pencils, attaching mixed media items, stitch types and their uses.

The kit includes one piece of silk fabric and backing fabric. Additional materials can be purchased in class at an approximate cost of $10 – $15.
Please bring the following items to the class:
- A seascape or landscape photo (or image) for inspiration
- Any small memento you might wish to include
- Any threads/fibres that can add to the colour theme/texture

There are 4 steps at the entrance to the building and the ground floor area, as a result, wheelchair access is difficult and not recommended. Classes are usually held in the upstairs room which can only be accessed via the stairs.
Getting Here
- Free parking is available on Saturday and Sunday in Warry, Kennigo and Love Streets (behind the Guild).
- Fortitude Valley train station is a 5-minute walk away (exit via Brunswick Street).
- Numerous bus routes service Fortitude Valley. The closest stop, adjacent to the Guild building, is Brunswick Street at St Pauls Terrace, stop 5.

The Guild accepts no responsibility for difficulties with, or damage to your equipment.
Cancellation Policy
If a class is cancelled by the Guild all fees paid will be refunded. No refunds will be given for cancellations within two weeks of the class date. If more than two weeksโ notice is given, a refund will be offered, less $20 administration fee. Payment for kits will not be refunded but, if already purchased, the kit can be collected from the Guild rooms.
